The Netgear software will say "connected to Internet" and then it usually takes a few more minutes for the Vista "globe" icon to appear on my network connection On boot-up, I can connect to the internet but this takes several minutes and is not consistent. Other: have another machine wireless on XP ![]() Other: I downloaded a hotfix (don't recall which) and installed that as well Wireless security: Netgear software using WPA - have to use Netgear's wireless software tool as it won't connect at all using Vista Wireless settings: removed the IPSEC v2 (?) setting ![]() Wireless USB on Vista: Netgear WG111 v3 - driver upgraded to latest firmware as of Jan 2009įirewall / Anti-virus: Disabled on Vista machine Router: Netgear WG614 (Wireless G with - driver upgraded to latest firmware as of Jan 2009 System: brand new Dell 630 XPS, obtained Dec. ![]()
